CLASS OF 1967 attending were: Larry Homstad, Glenn Anderson, Lon Jerome, and Roger Schwenzfeier. - photo submitted Lancaster Class of 1967 gathers in Las Vegas for 40th reunion submitted by Kathy Hunter Jan. 18-20, 2008, the Class of 1967 from Lancaster High held their 40th Class Reunion in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ten members from their class of 25 met and reaquainted at the Golden Gate downtown, where classmate Lon Jerome is employed and made a majority of the arrangements. They met each morning for a delicious breakfast at the hotel cafe. Saturday was spent sight seeing on The Strip, Red Rock Canyon, etc. Saturday evening a banquet was held at the Las Vegas Club in honor of the class of '67. Ken and Barb Peterson, Ricky Hugg, Dick Christenson and a few other alumni joined in on the celebration. It was an enjoyable evening spent looking at pictures, annuals, memorabilia, and reminiscing about the high school days. Sunday, we were all invited out to the home of Lon and Mary Jo Jerome for a very delicious barbeque and lots of pictures. Sunday evening, several people took in a few shows out on The Strip. It was so much fun to get reaquinted and spend the weekend together. Those in attendence from the Class of 67 and their spouses were: Judy [Laude] and Chuck Bremer, Carol [Locken] and Arlie Peterson, Susan [Sanner] and Bob Christenson, Suzie [Olsonoski] and Clement Salvadori, Kathy [Uscensky] and Kenny Hunter, Nancy Hugg, Larry and Char Homstad, Glenn and Theresa Anderson, Lon and Mary Jo Jerome, and Roger and Phyllis Schwenzfeier.

So Barb is a big winner at the casino and she comes over to the bar where we are enjoying some adult beverages and shows us her wallet with more than $600 in it and then does some bragging about her slot machine prowess. Glen and I decide she should as least buy us an adult beverage which she doesn't do, so we decide to take matters into our own hands. By the way, she stores her wallet with all her winnings in her bra. We tried to no avail, Barb would not part with her wallet and we either were not strong enough to get away from her or physically unable to get her wallet because of the number of adult beverages we had already had. Glen and I gave it a good try though.

Oldest LHS Alumni

Chuck and Marie Hunter, Chuck was the oldest Alumni at the party, he graduated from LHS in 1952, and he is from Orleans and will not let you forget that. But still enjoys a good Lancaster get together.
